trip from Mandalay to Bagan

Hello to everyone!

We are planning the trip from Mandalay to Bangan (end of May).

Do you suggest the boat or the plane ? Do you know if the boat will leave every day or not?

and what is better: another half day in Bagan (we will stay there only one day!) or the route through the river?

One day for Bagan..... ?... hmmm. are you quite sure.. it鈥檚 really not enough!

We had booked 4 nights in Bagan (not paid).. thinking that if we had enough after a couple of days we would move on... But found that 3 full days was really only enough to ';scrape the surface';...

anyway.... in that case.... don%26#39;t waste time.. fly. About USD35.00... Mandalay airport is about 1 hour drive from the city.. USD14.00 for taxi. Airport at Bagan is very close to the archaeological area.
