We want to spend three days in a hill station or slightly off the main routes of Yangon, Mandalay, Bagan and Inle and are considering Kalaw or Pyin U Lwin and Hsipaw. We would like to chill out, see local markets and villages, and would appreciate any suggestions on which would be a better choice.

Peoples(of travelers)all of them want to go every step on rout,and all of them want to go nobody get the idea of places.
Hsi paw,that you should go very different of Southern state of shan.You will see different and riding bicycle and row along the small river,That place is warmer then Kalaw,In kalaw 4 celcius,hmmmm chilling,There you will see local market.
And experience of picking pickel tea leave time.

Go to Pyin U Lwin. wonderful market, few tourists, best food ever and reasonable prices. Great fun.
