Mandalay to Monywa

I am staying in Mandalay for 3 nights at the beginning of October before going to Bagan. I wondered if anyone could tell if it is possible to drive from Mandalay to Monywa and back in one day.

Do you think I would be able to find someone in Mandalay to drive me and if so what sort of price do you think would be asked.

Also what are the condition of the roads like over this distance

Any help and advice would be most welcome.
