Cheap flights into Myanmar

Hi all,

I am looking to visit Myanmar next year and am hoping to find some cheap flights (it looks a bit too unreliable to plan for an overland border crossing).

I have checked out Bangkok Airways%26#39; Discovery Airpass which looks like a good deal, but am wondering if anybody knows of any better deals? Not fussed which city in Myanmar I fly into or whether I fly in from India/Sri Lanka or Thailand, so can be flexible for the right deal!

Any recommendations or suggestions would be most appreciated.

If you are taking flights from neighbour countries, it doesn%26#39;t make much difference. If you fly from far away, you can better buy the tickets through agency and make your exact schedule. It will save you money. Don%26#39;t try to cross the border. You are not allowed to go too far and it doesn%26#39;t worth at all. Border towns are not the image of Burma.

Cheap flights into Myanmar

Air Asia has started selling tickets for a new service from Bangkok to Yangon.

And there is talk, on the LP Thorn Tree, of them soon flying from Kuala Lumpur to Yangon as well.
