Ngapali Beach - Weather

Hi! I%26#39;m planning going to Myanmar on mid-end of August. How is the weather on Ngapali Beach in that season? Is it possible sun-bathing during these dates?

August is right in the middle of the rainy season or the monsoons in Myanmar (Burma). You might get some turbulence on the flight. The Seas will be choppy, i.e lots of waves. It will also be couldy but you should get a good amount of sunshine as well. It will not be like the Autumn in UK where there are clouds all the time! You will be able to do dome sun bathing, but the best time of the year is between November - March.

I think that all of the hotels are closed from June through September %26amp; I was told by the staff at Sandoway that it rains 24/7 for four months .

All the houses are built on stilts and there is no fishing(their main income) throughout the summer and I think the airline schedule is cut back / cancelled through those months.

The GM at Sandoway said he came overland one year in August and stayed in the area - but never again!

Methinks you should try later in the year but early November can be mixed and we had rain one year on the 7thJan.
