flights into myanmar

had a great time when we went in feb

but wonder if its possible to fly into rangoon from any other country somewhere like dacca in india

or is it back into bangkok and then have to ';double back on yourself';

it seems a waste of time and miles

any suggestions

You can fly into Rangoon via Singapore, Kuala Lumpur %26amp; Hong Kong. There are also limited no of flights from Chiang Mai in North Thailand, but I am not sure of the frequency. Indian Airlines did fly to Rangoon at one point recently, but I am not sure now.

Dhaka is the Capitol of Bangladesh (not India)... the route to Yangon was services by Biman air.. but this was discontinoued some months back.

Only flight from India at the moment is with Indian air.. from Kolkatta.

Qatar air fly to Yangon via Doha. There are several flight into Myanmar from China (Kunming and Beijing).
