Visa for Myanmar?

I will be in Chiang mai for 10 days from July 28th.

Is it possible to buy a visa for myanmar in Chiang mai , so that we can fly from Chiang Mai?

Would appreciate any info and help. Thanks

I suppose there is a Myanmar Consular office in CNX%26gt; but better check whether they can issue of not. I think the best way is to take in advance in your country. if you are from Beijing there is Myanmar Embassy.,. they can give you easily.

Visum in Chiang Mai is NOT a possibility.

In Thailand you need to go to, or have someone arrange it for you, in the myanmar embassy in Bangkok.

Best to get it before you arrive if possible.

You are able to fly from Chiang Mai to Mandalay (and on to Yangon) with Mandalay airlines (used to be Thursday but I think there may be a second weekly flight come high season).

Ticket is around USD120.00.
